Invitation for understanding and cosigning to preserve Losheng
Sanatorium in Taiwan
The Lo-Sheng Leprosarium,
enblem of human rights in Taiwan, was scheduled to be demolished by Taiwan
Government on April 16.
Facing numerous protests domestically
and internationally, including April 15's march in Taipei with more than 6,000
attendants, the government had agreed to delay the deadline of eviction, and is
evaluating the alternative plan within two months.
However, the credit of Taiwanese
politician is not good, and the influence from the local growth
machine remains.
We are looking forward to build the
international monitor/actor networks, and inviting you to understand the issue
that had aroused the concern of UN by formal press release, as well as inviting
you to join the international cosigning action on the petition letter to Taiwan
government.
Please visit our new website
http://one.fsphost.com/savelosheng/savelosheng/ for more information.(type "losheng republic"
or "republic of human rights and cultural rights" in google search to
access the website) as well as the petition letter .
Please transfer the letter as well as
the website's link to friends who care about human rights and cultural rights,
we are needing more friends to understand, as well as receiving their
cosigning.
In Solidarity
Best Regards
