A one hour walk around Beaver Pond in Proctor yielded 20 species.  Of  
interest was the five Winter Wren both observed and heard.  The number  would 
indicate a "surge" northward with the melting of the most recent snow  fall.  Have 
other observers noted this infusion of Winter Wrens?
