>>On AAAS: Let's see if there are enough of us interested in making presentations relevant to SftP interests. Then we can consider four modes of partivcipation:organizing a session; or submitting our individual proposals to separate subject sessions; having a critical presence in sessions where we might want to challenge prevailing views; having a literature table.. Topics that we might have critical mass for:  1. the commodification of science(including anti-pesticide and GMO's, conflict of interest; Bushification); 2. alternative pathways for science (third world science, feminist critiques of current science, Cuban science, community based science, perhaps Dan Faber on environmental justice movements, Maurice Bazin on teaching math with indigenous people,ecological agriculture); 3. update on scientific racism.
