Long enough to know that there's "fresh water" and then there's fresh 
water, like, the kind you'd actually like to swim in. Compared to 
Jordanelle, Strawberry, Bear Lake, and dozens of others, Utah Lake is 
pretty skanky.

Then of course there's all that leachate into Utah Lake from the old 
Geneva Steel plant on water's edge.
