I'm not so sure. I had friends staying at the Sundial Lodge (it
surrounds 50% of the central courtyard/stage at The Canyons) last
week and it sure seemed like all the staff was wearing period
costumery. One was even humming something about a modern major general.

What is happening is an insane amount of construction in the base
area, with 3 of those ginormous 10 story construction cranes in place
on 3 different properties. This is eclipsed in the area only by the
huge project in Empire Canyon going on a bit to the south at Deer
Valley (which includes a new lift and trail pod, with most looking
black diamond steep, massive new lodging, and many mega-million trophy homes).
