There are a number of very good US instruments and of course some that really have not proved out.  However, your hospital should keep in mind that bad exams will occur when the sonographers

Are unable to understand the instrument and how to optimize it or when the instrument does not match your clinical demands and environment.  For instrance, I like our Toshiba CV 80 for both cardiac and vascular but would not recommend It for an environment where most exams are in a hospital room or bedside.  

 

 

request a demo fom Philips / GE / Siemens.  this is your best bet
