Fellow Students,
Happy Thursday! We are in the midst of quite a lot of excitement here on campus. The Mid-Term Election results will be in soon; the weeklong celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. has been a resounding success thus far; DC Delirium is a nice break from all of the stimulating conversation where students can relax and enjoy all the Davis Center has to offer; and Focus the Nation, perhaps one of the largest series of events the campus community has seen in recent memory, is well on its way. Don't be left behind! Read on for details about these upcoming events and more.
Always at your service,
Kesha and DaVaughn

Mid-Term Elections: Last Chance to Vote!
The

Ever Felt Marginalized On Campus? Say It Now!
The Committee on Diversity, Equity and Environmental Ethics has launched its
first ever Say It Now! campaign. Say It Now! is a video project adapted from
StoryCorps, a nationwide video journal initiative (www.storycorps.net). Say It
Now! is a project in which we invite students from all backgrounds to recall an
experience or event that made them feel uncomfortable or marginalized because of
a bias towards their racial, sexual, and/or gender identity while at the
University of Vermont. Our goal is to collect these stories on video or in
writing and create a film to be shown around campus and on UVMtv. We can
schedule times for these interviews whenever it is convenient for you. If you do
not feel comfortable on film, please consider submitting a written story- the
more the better! This is an opportunity for all students to express themselves
and tell a part of their story to fellow students, teachers and
administrators.
Please feel free to contact CODEE Chair Jesse Bragg with
your questions and concerns ([log in to unmask]).
SGA's Got Your Back
At our last Senate

in the campaign against unsafe alcohol and drug use.
See
attached legislation and please feel free to contact Senator Julia Michel with

In less than 10 days, UVM is going to see the biggest series of events to ever
hit
campus, and we need your help!
Three things to do:
1. Ask your professors if they've signed up for the teach-in. 30 seconds is all
it takes.
2. Make an announcement in your classes, meetings, or practices.
3. Go to as many events as you can!
All the info you need can be found at: www.uvm.edu/climatechange
