Well, I guess there is a measurable difference.

-- Fritschi Freeride / 180 cm Line Mothersip : 7.0 pounds (1 ski, 1
binding)
-- Fritschi Freeride / 184 cm Volkl Mantra : 7.0 pounds (1 ski, 1
binding)
-- Fritschi Titanal III/ 151 cm Fisher RC4 SL : 5.5 pounds (I
misremembered in last post)
-- Rossingnol Junior Bindings/ 100 cm Atomic Race 5 ski : 2.75 pounds
(Williams Alpine gear)
-- Garmont Adrenaline 28.5 : 4.5 pounds

So that's 23 pounds per pair for skis + bindings + boots (including
footbeds, No skins) for my everyday setup, and 20 lbs for my 'race'
gear. If I could skin up in bare feet, I'd have you beat.
