Hi Jacquie,
I found a few sites you may want to look into. Both sites are from
Colombia, which happens to be the 2nd largest producer of panela in the
world.

http://panelaconvapor.com/index.php
There is a video link inside and it shows how it is done using gas.

This one is a very nice video on how panela is done, traditionally.

Regards.

Hi everyone,

The next student chapter meeting will be on Wednesday April 9th at
7:00 in Votey 207. This will be a very IMPORTANT meeting. EWB groups
will be coming in rotation to meet with a panel consisting of: Dan
Baker, Mike Rosen, Peter, and myself. Please bring your methodologies
for measuring your needed data from Honduras to this meeting. I have
attached an Excel spreadsheet for the groups to use for listing
materials, cost, necessity, and quantity. Where it says "Group Name",
please insert your group's name.

Scheduled Groups will be :

1. Fuel and Grate Group from 7:00 to 7:30.

2. Oven Group from 7:30 to 8:15. (45 min. due to a larger group)

3. Emissions Group 8:15 to 8:45

If you have any questions please email me.

Thanks!
Jacquie
