Workplace
May 22, 2008.
Vermont Technical College
Randolph, Vermont
Morey Lounge Conference Room
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
/Dale Hindmarsh, Workshop Leader/

This training is for any employment specialist who provides work
supports to persons with disabilities. Participants will engage an
interactive learning process that explores the framework of positive
behavioral support as it applies to our experiences in the typical
workplace. Participants are encouraged to bring examples and case
scenarios from their own experiences with issues of conflict and
challenge in the workplace. These case experiences will be discussed in
light of the principles of building trust in the work environment, which
will be presented by the workshop leader. The goal is to shape tools and
learnings to the actual dynamics we experience in our own workplaces.
The "take home" value of this training will be enhanced by sending
agency teams of at least two participants, but individual registrations
are also accepted.

Registration fee for this workshop is $40.00 per person, $70.00 for an
agency team of two persons.

Topics will include:

    * Changing Habits -- ours and others,
    * Principles for Creative Communication in Conflict,
    * Consent, Collaboration and Change,
    * Building Trust in the Workplace Culture,
    * "Road Map" for Creative Change,
    * Positive Behavioral Support and Mutual Transformation.
