This weekend we have once again seen an upsurge in the number of Repolls
here in Walden. Impossible to count them all, as they often cover the
feeders and the ground picking at the seed hulls on the melting snow
underneath, but I would estimate 150-200 birds at times. I assume most of
these are migrants stopping for a snack on their way north from more
southern areas.

We also now have dozens of Juncos, and many Grackles and Red-wings. Lots of
activity in the yard.
