Most likely due to weight and the "mountaineering" sole. I have a 
pair of Scarpa Tornados, which do have a Vibram sole and a walk mode, 
but do not have a rocker sole like the Garmont Adrenalines. But they 
are far lighter than my alpine Lang 120's.
