There is a company (sorry, canít think of the name) that offers this service. I know Berlin and Montpelier were looking into it, and I saw a demonstration. Looked good. The demo was arranged through TD Banknorth.

Subject: cREDIT CARDS
How many Clerks and Treas. out there accept credit cards for payment of taxes, utilities, fees, etc.? Do any of you have a web site wherein a citizen can pay by credit card online?
Also, I recall years ago that we had this discussion and someone informed us of a company that charged the customer their fee, not the town.
