I stepped out for a break from work today and in the distance I spied a
large dark bird lazily flapping westward towards the lake (via Sand Road).
Even at the distance I was in relation to the bird, I could make out, first,
the white base of the tail and then a white patch on the underside of the
wing. Regrettably, my first GOLDEN EAGLE (immature) was a fleeting
experience.
