Martin Luther King III to Highlight 2009 Holiday Commemoration

As part of a multi-day celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., human rights advocate and community activist Martin Luther King III will speak on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. in Patrick Gymnasium. The event is free and open to the public but does require tickets.

Vtrim Weight Management Program

The Vtrim Program is offering a Vtrim class specifically for UVM employees. Vtrim is a 24-week behavioral weight loss program researched and developed in Nutrition and Food Sciences for 16 years. This class starts on Wednesday, Jan. 21 and will meet every Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. in Ira Allen Chapel, Cynic Room 117 until July 1, 2009. An automatic payment plan is available for employees enrolled in this class. Read more about the program.
