Re: Photoshop elements The highest we have is Elements as well, and in some cases even Elements 2.0

In our main lab I have used GIMP with good success, although it can be quirky and the learning curve is high. My 8th graders picked it up pretty easily, but I am not sure if it would be easily accessible to 6th. In 5th-7th we have been able to do most of what we wanted to do (for curriculum-related drawings and images) with Paint, and K-4 we use KidPix.

I need to clarify which Adobe tools are in which suite, but I am also wondering about starting to purchase some of the “bigger” tools for our middle school. I guess it depends on the level and type of use. I recall a session on the new Acrobat Standard at which I saw some great features for graphic design, and integration with Elements.

We are a K-8 school and presently have Photoshop Elements in our two computer labs--not classrooms or carts--for student use. We have one person in the building who has CS4 on a couple of computers and wants us to upgrade 3 more. Does anyone else provide this level of Photoshop for middle school students? Is Elements enough?
