"The Irish Are Coming!
The Irish Are Coming!"
@ The Old Stagecoach Inn

The Waterbury Public Library, along with the Waterbury Activities & Cultural
Center (WACC) and the Vermont Humanities Council, will celebrate St.
Patrick's Day with award-winning lecturer and writer, Dan Casey.
Dr. Casey will look at Irish immigration to Vermont, tracing the movement of
the early Irish into Vermont from Quebec, New York and the New England
corridor. Dr. Casey uses prominent historical figures to illustrate Irish
influence on the Vermont way of life. He references local surnames and uses
maps, slides, and genealogical charts to explain how and why the Irish came to
stay in the Green Mountain State.

This program is free and open to the public. For more info call
