Yesterday and again today a Turkey Vulture soaring over Rutland. The
Ring-billed Gull has also returned to downtown.

Here in Danby, House Finches in full song, residential pair of Canada Goose
have returned to nesting territory. Still have the winter Juncos, Tree
Sparrows and large flock of Redpolls.
The Redpolls have a very loud ZZZZEEEEET!! call. Very different than the
flock chatter when feeding. The Red-winged Blackbirds have made it up out
of the valley, seen at both Smokey House Center and Danby Pond at Danby Four
Corners.
