On Wednesday evening, March 25, the GMAS will host an interesting program at the Dorothy Alling Memorial
Library in Williston entitled "Amphibian Diversity in the Amazon Basin: A Struggle for Survival in an
Age of Extinction".

Nicholas Arms, a remarkable student at CVU, recently participated in a
herpetological inventory in the Santa Cruz Forest Reserve in the upper Amazon
Basin. Nicolas, an accomplished photographer and naturalist, will
deliver this photo-lecture, emphasizing the importance of biological diversity
in the tropics and the significance of the amphibian extinction crisis for the
global environment.

This program will begin at 7:00 P.M. and is free and open to the public. Hope to
see you there.
