I have not tried feeding oriole's but I have seen both oriole and gray 
catbird at orange half feeder and oriole nectar feeder at my Aunts in 
Rochester, VT.   Both came more frequently to cut orange.  The only thing I 
noticed, maybe because I was trying to photo, is she had located feeder in 
heavy coverage. ( Lilac brush I think)  It had leafed out and was secluded 
from a distance.  Maybe they are shy diners!   Keep trying, it does work.
