possibly the working class can have an input by refusing to work, or doing slow downs. or other 'elements of refusal' (within the periodic or aperiodic table of such elements).  also consider career changes from being a cog in the machine.   unfortunately due to 'alienation' most people are like hamsters in a cage running around theier little wheel (or surfing the web, watching the game, getting high, or maybe even playing music, going out into nature, or solving math/science problerms.)

Capitalist science and technology "advances" rapidly.

Do progressives/Marxist/radical scientists, engineers and technicians have any significant input?

Is it possible that the vast interlocking global computer network system can become self aware in a matter of a decade or two? This is an underlying belief of the techno-corporate world's "Singularity:" that moment of computer-system selfawareness a la the Terminator's Skynet.

Is there a convergence between global economic and environmental collapse and cybernetics?

How can workingclass consciousness play a role in capturing the reins of this runaway capitalist sci-tech?

...Or do we just let this esoteric project continue unchallenged because their works have -and will have- very negligible impact upon the greater capitalist political economy?
