When I was a clerk in my previous life, I used to use “200901”, “200902”, year and one digit, just to keep them straight – might work for those that used to use the number on the license….and I know you clerks are creative, so I’m sure you’ll come up with other ideas as well!!  Thanks, Penny, NEMRC

I talked to Mary at Vital Records yesterday, and eventually there will be no prompt for the license number.  In the meantime, you may issue any number you like (i.e., 1 or 99999).

I don't recall seeing the answer to this question, but why are the new licenses NOT numbered?

I've had to make them up to satisfy NEMRC program......
