SUBJECT: *An Invitation to Serve as the Next University Student Trustee*

 Dear University Students,

We are pleased to announce the recent work of the Associated Directors for
the Appointment of the University of Vermont and State Agricultural College
Student Trustees, and the debut of the 2009-2010 Trustee Selection Process.
The Associated Directors, as outlined in H. 127:1977,  is responsible for
the selection of the Student Trustees and holds authority over its selection
process, and the formal appointment of any full-time student at the
University to the Board of Trustees.  The Student Trustee inherits the same
responsibilities as a University of Vermont Trustee; however the term for
the student position is two years.

Within the next several weeks, the Associated Directors will be convening
alongside various members of the University community for three
informational sessions.  These sessions will include an overview of the
Trustee Selection Process, information about the role of a Student Trustee,
and how students may submit an application to be selected as the next
Student Trustee.

Attendance is required for all three sessions if you are interested in the
position.  Each session will be video recorded and made available for
check-out at the SGA office in case you have conflicting obligations.  We
will be taking attendance at all of the sessions and you can make up an
absence by checking out the session you missed.

   Thursday, November 19, 2009, 7:30pm Waterman Memorial Lounge

details regarding the members of this committee, important deadlines, and
general timeline information that will spell out the whole process.
