Helen Jordan from the Agency of Ag sends this, saying there are still 10 spaces being held for vegetable and fruit growers - REGISTER NOW - The 2009 Matchmaker For Local Food Buyers, Sellers & Distributors Wednesday, October 28th, 2009, Juniper Hill Inn, Windsor, VT This event is an opportunity for farmers to sit down one on one with buyers from a variety of businesses, including retail grocery stores, food services, restaurants and distributors, to discuss starting a sales relationship. Buyers have requested more produce sellers to be represented and so we have extended the registration deadline to October 12th and held 10 slots open for produce sellers. If you are interested in participating, please review the information below and send in your registration today! (Non-produce sellers’ registrations are being accepted, but there is currently a wait list for those places) The Matchmaker is an event for anyone planning to expand to larger markets, anyone currently selling wholesale who wants to expand their clients, and anyone with surpluses who wants to learn where large quantities can be sold. There is a registration fee of $20 per person for sellers. Registration fee includes breakfast, coffee and lunch.
