Hi friends and colleagues,

I am happy to introduce my newest project/business venture:  It's not affiliated with where I plan to remain a full time member/director of their support staff. is a project that my partner (Sean Behan, a great programmer and also an alum from the University of Vermont) and I have been working tinkering on for a while and we're very happy to be able to release it on August 18th.

Postlearn is an education job board with a twist, it partners with and relies on the education learning network (bloggers, social networks, etc.) to spread the word about jobs and the service to employers and job seekers.  Our main focus is to make jobs inexpensive and simple to post and to provide support (in revenue generation) directly to our partners that help spread the word.  Becoming a partner is free and requires nothing more than posting the widget on your blogger, wordpress, ning or other site.

I've worked in the realm of educational communities for the past 2 years and believe wholeheartedly in the power of personal learning networks (my own included).  Today educators find the most relevant information in their lives through the blogs, social networks, and twitter accounts that they follow, why wouldn't we also look to those destinations to find opportunities for part time, contract or even full time jobs?  By partnering with those individuals who've already created or are creating audiences in the edublogosphere we can imprint job postings on 100s and 1000s of page views daily, adding value for those that are posting jobs and those that are browsing their PLN.  In return for the impressions, we'll be giving back 20% (hopefully more after we cover costs) of revenue to those affiliates where the job posters originate from. 

That being said, our first affiliate is Richard Byrne of and we're stoked to have him. 

We're really excited to kick things off and will be posting jobs at no cost to anyone that emails me directly ([log in to unmask]).  So please, spread the word, point job posters in my direction and check out the widget that can earn you (or your chosen cause) some revenue.
