On Thursday, January 14 at 7:00pm, UVM Extension's New Farmer Program kicks off the 2010 webinar series with Starting Right with Sheep with Chet Parsons, UVM Extension Livestock Specialist. Learn about the different breeds of sheep and which types are best for your situation. Learn how to select healthy livestock and what to look for when purchasing animals. Finally learn a bit about the housing, pasture, fencing, breeding and health needs of your sheep before you bring them home. The webinar will last one hour and you can participate from your computer!
