Hello!
You are receiving this message because of the good work you do (or your
interest in) supporting the success of beginning farmers. The Cornell Small
Farms Program would like to invite you to join us for a meeting in Ithaca on
Mon. March 8 to strengthen all of our collective work by learning from each
other.
What exactly will we be doing at that meeting, and at future meetings? Great
question! We're looking to you for the answer. What would attract you to
such a meeting? What would keep you coming back? We hope you will take just
a few minutes to let us know, so we can develop an agenda that best reflects
your needs and interests. Visit:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/BFlearningnetwork and let your opinions be
heard. *Please compete the survey no later than 3pm on Fri. Feb. 5. *
I have made the recipient list for this message visible in part so that you
can see which of your colleagues are receiving this message, and also so you
can see who is missing. We (the Beginning Farmer team at the Cornell Small
Farms Program) are trying to put together a listing of who in the Northeast
directly targets beginning farmers with training, financing, mentoring,
consulting, land access, etc. Our list is quite thin for some states, and is
incomplete even for NY. So please share this survey with organizations you
know of who *specifically target their services to beginning farmers. We are
seeking organizations in ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, PA, MD, WV, and DE.
*Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will be in touch with
more details about the meeting after Feb. 5!
Cheers,
Erica*
