This is the specific protocol proposed by Zamboni. I personally find the intracranial imaging convoluted and overkill for this evaluation, as the typical treatment (if a stenosis is found) is angioplasty of the proximal IJV (easily visualized extracranially) and/or angioplasty of the azygous vein, which you can’t see with ultrasound anyway. Just my thoughts….
