Saturday, there were three brown-headed cowbirds at my feeders.  
Yesterday, there were 15.

This is only the fifth time I've seen cowbirds in January since I  
started keeping records back in 1978, and the other times have been  
one or two birds. Does anyone have any ideas about what's going on?  
Did yesterday's flock decide to winter over rather than migrating? Or  
are they migrating now from further north and got stuck here by the  
storm?
