EAST – Short term Update…

MLK Holiday Storm to provide several inches of new snow --  targets portions of New England, with perhaps as much as 10” at a few resort summits.

A quick shot of about 3 to 8” for the central and southern Green Mountains, southern White Mountains, and the southern Western Maine Mountains with a 30% chance for over 10” at the summits of a few resorts. The northern “cut off” of this snowfall will be sharp with less snows further north and mixed rain on many valley floors further to the south. These snows will be of the wet variety with slushy slippery travel…best to beat the storm by traveling as soon as you can before roads become snow covered. Storm begins tonight and is a quick mover by exiting parts of Maine Noon tomorrow.

Winds and temperatures will be moderate with this system.

Best favored resorts will be Killington Pico, Okemo, Stratton, Bromley, Mount Snow, Jiminy Peak, over to Pats Peak, Loon, Waterville Valley, Attitash, Wildcat, Gunstock, Cranmore, Mount Abram, Black Mountain.
