If you have the death certs that correspond w/them, give them same number but add a BP before or after the number. If you do not have the death certs, assign them a book and page number in the death cert books. we index them in the book, but not in the cards which i always found weird.

Iím working on another organization project and have  a box of burial permits.  They are in no particular order whatsoever.  Can you suggest a way to organize them- Iím assuming that someone may want to find one someday and it would be nice to be able to find it. What do you do in your town- index/cards, etc?
