On my way to see the Ivory Gull at the Rouses Point bridge I noticed a
Red-shouldered Hawk perched near the off-ramp at exit 21.  I pulled
off the road and was able to get a few documentation shots.
Red-shouldered Hawks don't generally arrive in Northern New England
until late March, and birds in February could either be very early
migrants or overwintering birds.
