Just a quick note to say that the Ivory Gull was present in Rouses Point, New York earlier today (Friday, 26 Feb 2010).  Jay McGowan and I watched the bird from 4:15 to 5:30 pm today, and Bill Purcell saw the bird earlier in the day.  In both cases, the bird was near the stone jetty at the end of Stony Point Road in the Village of Rouses Point.  The bird was in the company of a small number of Herring Gulls and Great Black-backed Gulls.
