Heard an Eastern Towhee singing in our yard this afternoon in Georgia,VT.
Last time heard in 1991. Tried for some time to locate it, but just could
not get a look at it. We have a lot of 2 year growth in our forest after the
big blowdown of very large white pines in Aug 2007. Looking at it we might
now have good habitat for Towhees, Mourning Warblers and Indigo
Buntings...will keep watch! With the first Hummer noted on the migratory map
very near here, I filled and hung all the feeders. I'm ready Now! Good
