I typically do three of these and take the average.  I obtain volume flow in the area of the vein (or graft) where the dialysis needles are placed (probably within 6inches of the anastamosis).  If they have buttonhole access, you can easily see were the dialysis needles are being placed.

Any RVT's out there do flow volume measurements on AVF grafts?  if so what location do you take the measurement at in the graft?  we have a surgeon requesting this.  I have scanned many AVF grafts just never have had to do flow volumes measurements before.
