State Airport IBA Observation date: 7/29/10 Notes: All the Vesper Sparrows were observed on top of or "within" the north/south fence line except one that was flushed. There appeared to be a family group of four that when disturbed flew to the adjacent tree line together. One bird was seen carrying food [CF]. The kestrel hovered over and then landed within the fenced area. Adult Eastern Kingbird observed feeding young [FY]. One Black Tern appeared to be a juvenile. Observer thought he heard a Common Moorhen on the north side of the road but it called only once. Bald Eagle was an adult. Yellow-rumped Warblers, apparently all juveniles, passing overhead all the while gleaning.
