Greetings, VTLepsters:

While looking for dragonflies, I noticed a Hackberry Emperor
(Asterocampa celtis) on the Huntington River just south of where it
dumps into the Winooski near Jonesville today (after the Vermont
Entomological Society insect walk at the Birds of Vermont Museum). It
dropped down to puddle in the mud for a bit, then, oddly for this
species, it was gone.

Best,
Bryan Pfeiffer
