Numerous list owners have received similar messages, due to the broad distribution of the phoney Linkedin spam. Fortunately, listserv has a remedy, and Scott Dellinger has implemented it:

Owners received messages like the one below. It is the list server's way of alerting list owners that someone (in this case, a spammer) is trying to send messages to a list; the list server is rejecting the messages because that same sender has ben flagged as a problem person. The list server doesn't realize the sender is a spammer. The good part of that is that the bogus Linkedin emails are prevented from being posted to list subscribers. The list server is being cautious and letting list owners know that it has rejected messages -- in some situations, a list owner would want to overrule the list server's decision. In this case, we list owners don't really care to know, so the option Scott put in place should provide welcome relief.

On behalf of all list owners, thanks SAA and Scott.
