Additional assistance needed: We are in the process of putting together
the second edition of the MLA Encyclopedic Guide to Searching and
Finding Health Information on the Internet and we are recruiting a few
additional volunteers to participate in updating information within the
book!

The Guide serves as a reference (print and CD-ROM) to locate resources
on health information. The first volume provides a great deal of
information on doing a good search. The second and third volumes of the
Guide provide information on health conditions, and this is where your
help is needed.

Specifically, volunteers are needed to revise the information on
specific topics; each topic/entry will include a short text portion on
specific searching considerations for that topic, keywords, acronyms,
association information, and Web sites. You could opt to do a section as
small as a single topic (a page or two), or take on the content of a
larger portion (e.g., several topics or an entire group of topics).

Volunteers should contact Elaine Sullo at [log in to unmask] if you are
able to participate and have the time to do it. Entries will be due by
January 14, 2011. Once selected, contributors will receive a template
for compiling the updated entry. As a contributor, your name will be
prominently featured in the completed publication. Your work toward
this book will be suitable to submit toward the AHIP credentialing
process, should you desire.

To those volunteers who have already submitted their content – THANK
YOU!!
