Prevent Child Abuse VT is currently looking for an immediate need for a food volunteer starting asap for our Wednesday night groups that take place at the Howard Center at 1138 Pine Street in Burlington. We are needing a food volunteer from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Volunteer would make a meal at their home and deliver it the Howard Center sight. Volunteer would need to stay to help clean up. Prevent Child Abuse Vermont belongs to the VT Food Bank and food will be provided to the food volunteer. Unfortunately, there is not a kitchen available at the Howard Center to make the meals there. This would be a great opportunity for groups or individuals. Our need is for 20 weeks. 


Prevent Child Abuse Vermont (PCAV) provides education and awareness programs to create a positive change in society away from abusive patterns of behavior. Nurturing Parenting Programs are free, evidence based parenting education classes which include childcare for younger children, a home cooked meal, and resources to improve the relationships in the family. Most of the groups provide a meal so there is a great need for volunteers who would be willing to cook a meal for a specific parenting group. Before you cross the bridge there is a street on the right called West Cannel Street next to Donny's Pizza. Turn here. Go to the stop sign and the Woolen Mill will be on your Left. Go through the double doors and there will be another set of doors on your right. Go up the stairs and down the long hallway. My office is the last office on the right.
