This thread reminded me I have been trying to find a copy of the Adirondak Slide Guide - almost impossible to get ahold of since it went out of print. Well a Google search just now turned up a new link for a downloadable PDF for sale direct by the author. $10 via Paypal and 220 megabytes and I've a few winters full of ideas. Be forewarned this is hardly a how-to-find-backcountry-lines-for-dummies.

Notorious secretiveness is a blessed character trait.

As the famous bumpersticker claims, "dont Vermont the Adirondacks".
