We are looking forward to hosting you at the America's Cup to be held on March 31 2011.

We have a fantastic field and a good time planned.

Before you arrive:

§ Check your entry on the website. Inform us of changes. Check back to make sure it is updated properly. Contact Alfred Snider at [log in to unmask]

§ Let us know if you have food allergies.

§ If you have been offered pick up for special reasons contact Tom Dionesotes at [log in to unmask]

§ If you will need shuttle from the hotel to the tournament contact Tom Dionesotes. [log in to unmask]

§ If you have crash housing contact John Sadek. [log in to unmask] or Alli Hamlin [log in to unmask]

Upon arriving:

§ At the airport baggage claim area there is a phone bank, call Windjammer Inn and a shuttle will come and pick you up. If Tom has offered to pick you up, his crew will do so.

§ Enjoy the downtown area, take a taxi from the hotel if you must, short ride, well worth it.

§ Please drink legally and in moderation at all times.

On Thursday:

You will be shuttled if you requested it from Tom.
Come to Huber House (475 Main Street, map on the USU website) before 8:30 AM. At 8:30 we will have a roll call and teams not present will be replaced.
A light breakfast will be available for debaters and judges. We ask for your patience as Huber House may be a bit crowded at times.
The seeding round begins at 9 AM.
After the seeding round we will move right into the quarterfinals at 11:30 AM.
Lunch will be served to debaters and judges in Huber House after the quarterfinals.
Semifinals will be announced at 2:30 PM and will begin at 3 PM.
After semifinals, there will be a break. Dinner is on your own, we suggest the David Center for a quick meal with friends.
At 6:45 PM those teams in the finals will gather at Angell B112 to draw.
The motion will be announced at 7 PM in Angell B112.
The debate will begin at 7:15 PM. We are encouraging the public to attend.
We will announce the results as soon after the debate as we can. Between the end of the debate and the announcement we will take floor speeches and questions to the debaters.

We really appreciate your involvement in this event. Please confirm that you will or will not be there.
