Hello Campus Kitchen world! The 2011 Vermont Food Summit is officially over and what a great time it was! Thanks to CKP volunteers and the UVM community the week was a true celebration of a love for food and agriculture! I hope you were able to have a small taste of how wonderful, challenging, complex, and enjoyable our food system can be. So much can be done to improve the way our world eats and you are playing such an important role by taking part in The Campus Kitchen Project at the University of Vermont. A big round of applause to all of you for making not just Food Summit but this whole organization such a success! On that note, we are currently looking for volunteers who will be around this summer and are willing to take part in the Food Shelf shifts. As some of you may know, we continue to serve the community by having our Prep and Distribution Shifts all summer long. Led by our Nutrition and Garden interns we hope those of you that are still in Burlington will lend a helping to CKP and those in need. Please respond to this email if you are able to do so.
