The Department of Physics at Rutgers University in Newark has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to take major responsibility in a project using high sensitivity laser-based detection of 14C in CO2 for applications in atmospheric science, geology, biological sciences and carbon dating. The applicant should have a strong foundation in one or more of these areas and an interest in developing instruments as well as in applications of a new technology. He or she will work with a multidisciplinary research collaboration including physicists, chemists, geochemists, engineers and biological scientists.
