Kristen, We have info at this link: http://www.mmu.k12.vt.us/academics/1to1/student_laptop.html At the beginning of the school year all netbook kids pay a $25 usage fee to pay(self insure) for repairs not covered under the 1 year warranty on the netbooks. We may have to increase that for next year when out of warranty. Anything over and above normal wear and tear issues goes to the principal and arrangements are made with the family. That usually involved them paying a larger additional fee. Jean This e-mail may contain information protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In South Burlington, we are working on a 1:1 laptop rollout for 8th and 9th graders next year and we are interested in how other schools with 1:1s are handling: · Policies for theft and damage · Fees (if any) to cover insurance or other related costs · Student guidelines and expectations Thanks, Kristen Courcelle Technology Integration Specialist South Burlington School District 802-652-7169 ______________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ This email may contain information protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
