At Farr Cross Road yesterday evening there was one Grasshopper Sparrow
at the known location, even though the hay field had been mowed within
the last two weeks. Also present was a singing Vesper Sparrow. Also
saw three Horned Larks at the Dead Creek Goose Viewing location.

A very loud Whip-poor-will woke me at 2:00 am the night before ...
singing persistently right outside our bedroom window (southern end of
Snake Mountain, Cornwall).
