Two adult Common Loons were swimming together on Lake Hortonia during today's annual Loon Watch. A third loon was heard in flight (perhaps the adult observed later in the morning at Burr Pond, just east of Lake Hortonia). 

Also of interest was a Merlin vocalizing from the top of a tall white pine.
