Does anyone have a great resource related to student centered learning? Looking for a quick, inspirational video or article that gets to the meat of the value of student centered learning.

How about

Salman Khan: Let's use video to reinvent education

Salman Khan talks about how and why he created the remarkable Khan Academy, a carefully structured series of educational videos offering complete curricula in math and, now, other subjects. He shows the power of interactive exercises, and calls for teachers to consider flipping the traditional classroom script -- give students video lectures to watch at home, and do "homework" in the classroom with the teacher available to help.

KA also uses a "game approach" to assessment ... students proceed sort of in a "Math Blaster' (good old days) approach of racking up points as they master, eg., addition/subtraction of single digits, double digits, triple digits all the way up to d/dx (sin(x) = ?  etc :)

They also provide a per-student performance dashboard - available to the student, the parent, and the teacher ...

Definitely he gets the discussion going - where do we want to go ...
