[Apologies for cross-postings]

Dear colleague:

I am hoping to get your help in promoting the Center for Cultural
Pluralism's Fall 2011 Social Justice Film Series. Our theme
/'(Un)covering Identities'/ offers participants an educational
opportunity to explore through film and subsequent discourse to engage
issues of identity in its various forms, visible and invisible. Please
see the attached flyer that outlines our Fall 2011 schedule. Please feel
free to forward on your listservs, or even print out a copy and spread
the word.

Coming up...next Wednesday! Our first film screening - Here are the
details!

*"People like us" (Part One)*

*When/Where*: _Wednesday, September 7th, 2011_ at 12 PM (Allen House)
and 7:30 PM (L/L Fireplace Lounge). *Note: Each film will have two
viewings.

**Synopsis*/: Bud or Bordeaux? The choices you make reveal your class.
Being middle-class, working-class, upper-class - its the 800-pound
gorilla in American life that most Americans don't think about: How do
income, family background, education, attitudes, aspirations, and even
appearance mark someone as a member of a particular social class? Class
can be harder to spot than racial or ethnic differences, yet in many
ways, its the most important predictor of what kind of financial and
educational opportunities someone will have access to in life.

/Look forward to your help in promoting our program as well as your
participation.

With deepest respect,

Dirk
