Alex,

There have been a couple others that have reported similar issues since the calendar.uvm.edu SSL certificate was updated on September 5.   The current working theory (because there are other Android users that report no problem) is the lack of current SSL Root CA certificates on some Android devices.

The suggestion Roger gave you will hide the problem, but it will also open your device to security exposures because it is ignoring SSL errors.

What I really need is a list that shows Device (make/model/version), Android version, SyncML version and whether or not it is complaining about the new SLL certificate.

An android phone with synthesis syncml was unable to connect returning "invalid SSL certificate" as the issue.  SyncML in correctly installed and configured.  The client believes the problem to have started around august 31.
